Stepping Stones are very proud to have a plot at the Stuart Road Allotments in Nunhead. From this community base we grow a range of fruit and vegetables. When we harvest, we give ingredients to the cooking classes which they use for the Friday lunch. It is a brilliant asset for Stepping Stones, and as well as producing delicious fruit and vegetable, it is also a great opportunity for our service users to get involved in outdoor physical activity.

Our allotment sessions will start later in the Spring when we hope that we will have the best run of some good weather To make sure we are ready for this we are organising a volunteering day on Saturday 2nd April. If you would like to come along and help we would be delighted to hear from you.

Gardening experience isn’t necessary although always appreciated. We will be preparing the ground for planting, tidying, making raised beds and clearing out old beds.

We will be there from 11 – 3pm, but you can come for as little or as long as you like. We do need a list of helpers for the day, so if you are able to help us at the volunteering day please do email or call (07950 612 914) first. We can give you further information and directions for the day.

Thank you!
